VFW-10254 Commander J.P. Kaster first announced formation of a new group within Arizona.s VFW, the "VFW Rangers", during the District-5 meeting in August.
Since that time, J.P. has been recruiting members and arranging for their performances.
The VFW Rangers will make their first public appearance during the Helldorado Parade in Tombstone on October 18, 2009.
Eligibility requirements to join the VFW Rangers are to own your horse and arrange for your own costume.
Currently four VFW Comrades have committed to the Rangers (with some applications pending) J P Kaster, Joe Madrid,
Jay Wren and "Gubby", Gulbranson. VFW-10254 in Three-Points is home of the VFW Rangers.
To promote membership for the Veteran's of Foreign Wars, to honor our Nations' Veterans, past and present,male or female,to foster Patriotism and Americanism, and to "HONOR OUR NATIONS'S FLAG"
